AWADH PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST

Awadh Public Charitable Trust, a social service Non-Governmental Organization was established and put into operation in 1997 by committed social workers and eminent educationists. It is a premier society known for its commitments to serve and strengthen the socio-economic and cultural values and aspiration of the marginalized segments of Indian society, especially minority communities, backward and weaker sections. Since its very inception, the trust has endeavoured to ensure effective participation of the underprivileged in the educational mainstream with a view to develop talent, promote skills and nurture competencies among them so far deprived and the depressed. Needless to mention the fact the trust follows national policy within the overall framework of the law of the land relating to educational institutions.

The promoters of the APCT-Society have, at the same time, set out to address new challenges on the education system and, in their quest to deliver a meaningful service to social cause, identified women education, health care, professional and vocational education and training as the focal areas in their vision in the 21st century.

The Trust worked with continuity with a vision and objectives to empower the educationally weaker segments of society, particularly from the minority communities, making them self-reliant to ensure their effective participation in the process of national building and development. The Trust’s this determined bid found favour with the Government as well. Government of NCT of Delhi vide its order No. DHE-1(14) Estt./2000-2001/3876 dated 8.1.2002 accorded to the institutions run by the Trust the status of Muslim Minority Education Institutions. The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of Delhi has likewise affiliated our institution by approving reservation up to 50% of seats to Muslim Minority Community in admissions. These constitutional favours have gone to strengthen the Trust’s endeavour to work for the weaker section with new vigour. Having been enriched with experience and expertise over the years the Trust has developed educational infrastructure by setting up the Institute of Vocational Studies and Comm-IT Career Academy (under ACE-Awadh Centre of Education).
